Sterling Vickery Consulting
Services
Sterling Vickery strives to provide as wide a range of technology consulting and systems development services as our clients need.

Every client's requirements are unique, and we approach each and every situation from a clean perspective. The primary functions we typically find our clients requesting we provide are these:

Bespoke systems design
Creation of bespoke systems to achieve functionality that is specific to the client's business, and cannot be achieved in an off-the-shelf product.

A common approach we take is to create a central intranet for the client, to which applications can be added as required. This means a single access point for users to all systems, a Single Sign On user access mechanism (so users do not have multiple different passwords for different systems), a centralised database for information storage and a centralised application server for application deployment and execution.
Management of Internet facing services
Many clients, particularly SMEs, do not have the manpower available to manage their email, website, domain names and firewall themselves.

We provide email hosting, website hosting, DNS services and Cisco firewall setup to our clients, so they can get on with their core responsibility - running their business.
Technology consulting
New software and hardware releases continually appear at a relentless pace. The world of "Information Technology" is ever-expanding, and the rate at which it does so seems to be increasing too.

Our job is to know the ins and outs of the technological world and to keep abreast of current developments at all times. We continually monitor technologies that we feel may provide benefits to our clients, either today or in the future.

Clients often need due diligence doing on a proposed new system, such as an accounting package or enterprise resource management system. We aim to know our client's business requirements, and are therefore well placed to provide due diligence reports on the effectiveness of any new system that we are asked to investigate.
